JOHN
JOHN really is the sole reason DARWINS GOD exists. Originally meeting HOOK during the first few months as co-founding-members a rock band which was short-lived, he and HOOK remained the best of friends. As HOOK established Skullsessions Studios, JOHN continued on with his education in Advanced Life Support, furthering his career as a Firefighter / Paramedic with the Houston Fire Department.
It was JOHN's persistence that eventually convinced HOOK - who was spending a lot of time writing - that this newest batch of songs needed to be shared LIVE with others. You will FEEL JOHN long before you will hear him, laying down his unique bass lines and doing his part as a background vocalist - often called "the glue" by the other members of the band. His harmonies tend to lay in between DOM and HOOK....often so sweetly that they are hardly noticed. But take them away...and something is just missing. JOHN will occasionally be heard singing lead vocal as well. JOHN, born of TEXAS, was actually raised in OKLAHOMA CITY - but moved back to TEXAS in 1989. Having served in the US NAVY, JOHN lived in Scotland for a couple of years as well as serving in Operation Desert Storm. JOHN can also play the skins and guitar, but confesses to having a fascination with all things BASS. Having formerly been in numerous unsigned bands, he's also done some work as a studio bassist. He uses exclusively FENDER Basses - pushed by the love of his life - his 1973 AMPEG SVT HEAD through BERGANTINO cabs..
