HOOK
A native of Kansas, but a Texan by choice - as the saying goes. HOOK spent his younger years romping around in band after band. His love affair with sound goes back to his earliest memories. Pots... pans... walls... car fenders... girlfriend's arms and legs... anything that made a noise or would resonate, he'd pound on it till it either broke or someone started yelling.
It happens that some things never change.
HOOK mans the acoustic guitar and lead/backing vocals for DARWINS GOD. His unique vocal styling may conjure up memories of old school vocalists such as Ronnie James Dio. Some even dare spot influences from Sammy Hagar and Chris Cornell as well as other pop-culture vocalists with huge range . His vocal also has a lighter side to it that can only be described as original.
Equally important in the band as a powerful writer and performer, he also wears the hat of engineer and producer - in the driver's seat when it comes time to record, mix, and master. His extensive experience as an engineer and producer comes in to play as studio dates loom.
HOOK's main guitar is a Martin, but occasionally goes to his Fender Acoustic - amplified through his custom modded Fishman Loudbox 130.
