DOM
DOM was born in Memphis - raised in the middle of Beale Street. Can you say ELVIS and Road-House Honky-Tonk? DOM can...with both his voice AND guitar. Inspiration was supplied by his in-demand guitar-weilding, regional session playing uncle, AL VANCE. Some of DOM's strongest memories as a youngster involve attending studio sessions in the Memphis area with his uncle. Those early impressions set quite an example for Dom on how to be a musician and a professional. The end product of those lessons still shows in every power chord and blues bend he coaxes from his guitar today.
Sporting one of his beloved Fender Strats or Telecasters... or his prized "Black Beauty" Gibson Les Paul, SCREAMING through his vintage VOX tube amp, he often steals the show, and we LOVE him for it!
Over the years, DOM has developed his own recognizeable sound, while blasting through clubs and venues all across Southeast Texas. His unique style of clean picking and tremelo bar play are a great compliment to his thoughtful songwriting. He's also a very talented and unique sounding vocalist. Often compared to JOE WALSH or - hold on to your pants - OZZY. The comparison to OZZY stops when DOM speaks. He's certainly much easier to understand than OZZY....although we've never seen him drunk. We'll work on that. Either way....on guitar and lead or backing vocals, he is very important to the DARWINS GOD sound.
(Note from DOM: Getting drunk around these guys means you might wake up the next morning with a .........?????)
